Transmission or sct acting up?
I just got done installing an oil cooler, egr delete, 4"exhaust, coolant filter and an sct. Took it out for a run last night to test it and had the trans act up. From a red light (after the truck was warm) I hit it wot through about mid 4th gear. I let off of the throttle to slow down and when I pushed the pedal again to try and maintain the speed it was at it's like the truck was in neutral. I pumped the throttle a couple times and then it shifted into 5th and drove perfectly fine after that. I took the sct off and hit it wot the exact same way and the truck shifted perfect. Should I start saving for a trans in my near future or could it have been the tune on the sct (street tune).

When you tune the truck, before any WOT runs, you should give the truck a few moderate runs from stop to 45mph and the pull on the interstate 30-65/70mph. Reason for this is to allow the transmission to take the tuning from the SCT program, adapt itself and run its best. Its simply not the best option to tune and go WOT right off.
Who did the tuning for the you? It could be something in the file, though its a little unlikely in a street tune. |

Before the wot run i had drove roughly 10-15 miles but it was normal driving not getting on it at all. The tunes on it are just the tunes it came with it doesn't have any custom tunes. This is the first automatic I've owned in almost ten years so im use to putting something on and being able to go. Ill load it back on the truck and go give it a few quick short runs like you suggested.
