04 5R110 Reverse Issue

This morning I was backing up slowly down a driveway, came to a stop and shifted into drive. Upon doing so I hear and feel a clunk. The truck drives forward just fine. Try to back up to the curb but after about 6-12 inches it stops. I drove the truck home and it seems to be ok in forward gears but now in the garage it will not back up. It will engage reverse but when I let up on the brake it will only move about 6-12 inches.

Any ideas before I pull the transmission?

Transmission was fine. Right rear brake pad had the inside pad backing material come apart. It bound up under itself. The backing material would just drap on the rotor moving forward but it would try to fold up between the pad and caliper when in reverse locking up the wheel.
