Trans. skips 2nd gear and won't go into 5th. The converter will lock in 4th. Drained fluid, dropped pan and checked. No metal in pan and fluid looked great. Anyone had solenoids take a crap and cause similar problems?

If I have to do a trans., it's getting a full built SunCoast.

I was curious, so I went to their website and Holy Cow! It said the prices for the 6.o trannies were starting at $3,628.00, and to call for pricing. Just for fun, I also priced out one of their torque converters, they are priced at $1,350 after core charge refund. Man, the saying 'If you want to play, you've got to pay' sure applies here... Are they $5000 good? That seems like a bunch, but I suppose cost is all relative.

I have a suncoast tranny with all goodies, was told it was good to 1600lb/ft of torque, and cost around $8000. It's expensive but come christmas, it's gonna be put to the test.
