My wife drives our '03 Excursion during the week, so any issues are through her experience, or when I drive it on the weekends.
She said that earlier this week when everything is cold (relative as it's 80-90) when starting out, it takes a while to shift from 1st to 2nd and revs higher before shifting into 2nd. She said it usually only does it once and then it's fine. BUT it's done it for the last three days, but I just heard about it today. Not sure if there is a buried code, but no light on the dash.
Could it just be in need of a flush? Without looking at mileage figures, we had it flushed about 30-40k miles ago. Ideas???
On a side note, I'm calling around for pricing and the dealer said they back flush it, but don't normally change the filters

? That just doesn't sound right to me. They are going to call me back with a price with filters. But I'm also checking elsewhere. Any recommendations in northern Colorado?
