You are definitely not the first to experience this kind of issue when using the EDGE canned tunes. Your tranny may be on its way out, unfortunately. I would immediately go back to stock (No, not level 0, completely remove the EDGE from the OBDII port) and run it for a couple of weeks. If it still has the issue, your tranny need to be looked at. If not, consider yourself lucky and sell the EDGE and buy an SCT with custom tuning. It will be the ONLY way your transmission lives when you add monster power.

You have to talk to people and worse case, try them out. Some tuners are "fire and forget" meaning that once they have sent you your tunes, they don't spend any time helping you to tweak them for your liking. Others are more customer service oriented and want you to be happy with your tunes.
I have tried DJ's, Innovative, Gearhead, and QuickTricks. My overall daily driver is the race tune (Looney) from Vivian at QuickTricks. They are all great power wise, but I love the shifting of my Looney tune. When I'm towing, I use either my GH 8k tow or my GH unlimited tow. |
