I seem to have a slip when cold

I noticed twice now when the trans was shifting from 3rd to 4th that it seemed to slip. Basically it revved up a ways then went into 4th. The weird thing is that it only did it when the trans was cold. What does this mean?

the seals on the piston of the direct drum maybe getting hard how many miles on the trans
the seals are bonded to the piston

Same problem here. First tranny replaced. Second one rebuilt then got replaced. Third one got rebiult at 35,954 miles. Thats 5 times and have had about 4 valve bodies. Still have the slip and now have a surge and now at 44,200 miles.

I have 87K miles on mine. I noticed yesterday that trans was having some strange behaviors like it actually downshifted like the tow hawl mode was on once....
