Is there still second filter in oil pan?

I change the frame mounted filter and fluids, but didn't take the oilpan off.

when i order the filters to do full service to the truck.
I was told that there is not another option.. to the automatic transmission filter.

So i would like to hear some fact.

Well their is a screen in the pad that NEEDS to come out and be replaced with a "later" true filter to protech the VB, you will also need a new pan..all should be only about 4100

did you have the frame mounted filter too?
so 2 filter total?

i check the owners manual and it too says that there is only the frame mounted filtter..

i just don't want to take the oilpan off to check the matter, cause of the new expencive fluids in.

In this country the mercon sp is very hard to find and filter if there are in transmission impossible.

so i should first order all the optional filtters to the trans. and fluids 2-4 weeks earlier before can take the oilpan off.

next week i take the pan off and hope my new filter fit there allso i have new frame mounted filter all motocraft parts and new trans fluids.

only 2000 miles i drove since last change but then i didnt know that there is filter in trans too.

Ok. now the pan filter and fluids are changed.
And when the pan was off i check the connectors and meassured all solenoids
don't know what the ohms should be but in evry solenoid had 4,7-5,6 ohms.
All seems to be in order and i was suprised how little there was metal in magnet and allmost nothing in pan filter..

i'm happy if my topic help you or anyone else..
i my self did use RED LINE ATF cause it have mercon sp stamp on it. not cheap oil
maby even more expencive than motorcraft mercon sp.

if i remember right it was 14-17euro/quart so about 20-24$/quart i have the recipt somewhere didnt just fid it now...

but in the other hand this is a damn exspencive country what comes about evrything.

only the paychecks is low evrything else high

Hello, I have a 03 Ford Excursion 6.0 Diesel. I need to change out the transmission temp sensor. Ford is telling me it's one part, but the part that I pulled out is not the same. I see in one of your pics that you have the same part that I do. What transmission do you have?

i think you have the same if you have 6.0 powerstroke engine

you said you have 6.0 diesel..
