Dendog, list out your truck particulars, mods and anything else that might help troubleshoot the problem.

no chip, bone stock. I thought that in drive 3 the tranny should shift from 1 up.

i have a torque shift tranny. Most automatic if put in drive 2 or 3 will shift up from 1st to gear 2 or 3. right??? The owners manuel says that it will shift in this manner. Does your torqueshift act this way??

thanks for the replys

yes mine goes in to the gear selected so if i put it in 3 that is where it goes and stays. It does not bother me i have fun putting it in 3 and leaving a light with some little ricer next to me rollin coal black smoke into their window but thats besides the point. yes your tranny is fine. they will be in the gear you select. Now what i didnt know until a while ago is that in D it does not use second gear unless its cold or in tow haul mode. So it shifts 1-3-4-5-od.
