Correct filter for 6.0 5speed tranny
It's official, I have a massive headache sifting for information on this forum. Then you have places like this that don't help any:
Automatic Transmission Filters - Auto Parts Warehouse WTF is the simple external filter to change when doing a tranny flush, I say. I've read you don't really need to change the gasket (just my luck, of course, mine will need to) and the internal filter is just a glorified sift. So I'm tempted to go with Motorcraft Automatic Transmission Filter and be done with it. |

Go here, and buy this one. It is the same as the Motorcraft. They make them. If I remember right, it came with the new gasket for the can.
Have fun! [NTZ09-C09B] - Ford Torqshift transmission external Transmission Filter(replaces FT145)-Includes O-ring - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks And here for the rest of the filters you need. Racor makes the Ford filters. So, while you are buying tranny filter, might as well order the others to save on shipping. I don't recommend the Prime Guard. http://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/F...k-Filters.aspx |

Haven't put the truck on a lift yet, so I don't know what the one on it looks like. I've had it less than 5 days....
