Uh-oh - Missed a gear!

I have a manual transmission. I may have not shifted all the way into 3rd. Anyhow, now its very hard to get into any gear and seems to fall out of gear easier. It is a little easier when rolling but after a stop, I can hardly get it into gear. Reverse is easier and Low is easier...but I can still tell something is wrong with each. Any help? Also my motor warranty runs out in January. Is the same warranty on the transmission? Thanks for the help.
