Angry tranny trouble

I bougth a used 2003 F350 6.0L in August 2005. It had 12,000 miles on it. The day after I bought the truck it would not start. Dealer put a injector in it. I have heard that is a common problem. Then last month I took it in for the recalled and asked them check a squeak it had. They told me it had a bad thrust bearing and put a short block in it. I finally pick the truck up on friday after they had it for more than a month. two day later I had the cruise set and suddenly the engine revved. It will know not move at all. Has anyone heard if these problems have occurred before or if this is just a bad apple. Thanks for any help I am getting a little frustrated.

we have had virtually no problems with the torqueshift trans. they are pretty simple with electric solonoids that pretty much engage and disengage everything. either you have a solenoid that has failed or a hard part internally broke......but this is one of the first major problems i have heard of since the trans switch.....Marc
