Hard Shifts Stock Tranny

Hey guys, been a while for me on here, kinda busy with work. Anyway just a slight issue with my tranny so the symptoms are

Right after start-up whether warm or not, shift to reverse or drive, the tranny wont actually shift for like a second or 2. after that initial shift everything is fine on that start up. Also during, say that start-up, shifting from park to reverse or drive or any combination, it seems the shifts are fairly hard.

Anyone have any idea what it might be, i think i heard solenoid at somepoint.

Any help would be awesome!

Any other shifting issue ever? It could be a shift solenoid, but a fluid change or flush can usually help if not solve those issues.

Checked the fluid level, its good. This was just in the shop for the reverse pinion snap ring failing. Other than the first shifts as stated, while driving it seems fine. Thanks guys.
