Auto to Manual Tranny Swap
My buddy has an '03 F250 with a '94 12valve cummins swap. Has original auto transmission. He's going to drop in a 6spd manual. Any suggestions besides don't do it? Or things to look out for. His original motor was a gasser. I notice the brakes on diesels seem to be hydraulic boost while on gassers they are vacuum boost. Is there a reason for this?

i may be wrong, and only guessing, but maybe its because that the diesel has to have its own vac pump, so its easier?
idk. lol. |

diesels don't create vacuum thats why they use the hyro boost

Thanks. The swap is complete. Worked out nice. There was a thread on here about filling transmissions and having to jack the fill side of the truck up to get the required amount of fluid in there. Is this true?
