Limp Mode while towing. Otherwise ok???
Towed my boat back from Cape Cod last night. 70mph, 5500-6000# load. When I got about half way home, the wrench symbol comes on the dash, and it wont downshift to go up hills. Trans temp is good. Fluid level ok. Fluid color good. It did it in either tow/haul or without it on.
Any ideas? Solenoids? Bad converter? Computer? I have it scheduled for Friday at the dealer. Any thoughts what I should expect? Oh yeah, 67k miles now. |

The wrench light is one of many problems! Oil cooler, turbo, to name some. If you turn off the truck it should reset. It would be important to know when the light comes on. If the truck powers up and as soon as you let off it might be the turbo. If you are driving along and the light come on it might be the oil cooler.
Sorry this is after your trip to dealer. |
