SCT moderate tunes VERSES trans?

I am looking to get the SCT X3 with some moderate tunes but nothing extreme or race type and curious how our lovely FORD trans holds up stock. Any stories good or bad that may help?

As far as tunes can't help you much. I run two types studded Race type and heavy tow type. Neither is what you are asking about.

The trans hold up great. I would suggest tunes from Innovative or Gearhead.

like said the stock trans will def handle anything you can throw at it.... i would go with the econo, a tow setting and a street setting.... something like this: SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning

I have the insane setting from Elite and the transmission did great until recent, when it started shifting wierd and slipping big time from 3-5 and then going to limp mode. Still diagnosing it....

Stock transmissions in these trucks are great and keep in mind a hard shift may be rough on you but it is good for the transmission
