07 trannie problems?

I have an 07 f250 6.0 turbo diesel 4x4. When I put it in gear weather forward or reverse it doesnt do anything. It feels like I have it in neutral. When I put it in gear it just sits for about 8-10 seconds before it activates. Once it activates it runs fine. Whats up?

Does it do this all the time or just first engagement of the day? I had one that had a delayed engagement first engagement cold in an 08 F250 that had a torn seal in the reverse clutch piston. I had to remove the solenoid body and air test the clutches to see which one had the issue.
