tranny leak

so last week i took my truck to the ford place to have the trans fluid flushed. today i noticed a smell of kind of oil burning upon further inspection i noticed that my trans is leaking pretty bad. what could cause this? i do plan on taking it back to the ford garage so they can look at it. would ford garage cover their work or am i or am i up **** creek without a paddle? thanks for any help.
