how much power can stock tranny take?

how much power can the stock 5r110 handle? what kinda upgrades can i do to handle around 450 or so horsepower? what are common problems with hese trannies? any help is appreciated

Its the TQ that you need to worry about. Dont worry about the 450 HP. Worry about the TQ. How much are you pushing?

im not pushing too much over stock right now but am looking to handle 800 or so ft. lbs

Stock tranny is good to about 500 hp and 1100 ft-lbs.

450 hp and 850 ft-lbs should be no problem.
