shift smooth...most of the time

Seems like some days my transmission wants to shift perfectly but some days it shifts kinda hard. It never slips. Sometimes when I'm in Tow/Haul mode it shifts really hard but at random times. The truck has about 95,000 miles on it. I've put about 25,000 miles on it in the last nine months. I bought the truck at a dealership with 70,000 miles not knowing about any Transmission service. The fluid was clean and full. What do you guys think?

It's something of a common problem. Some folks have had success fixing this problem by replacing their direct solenoid. Suncoast offers them and Cobb's resells them here on the ORG.

Be sure to follow the maintenance schedule pretty religiously. Sounds like you are due to replace your external tranny filter soon.

Mine's been running like that for over 50k miles and the tranny hasn't failed yet. Mine was significantly worse running a tuner and in stock mode, most folks riding with me don't even feel it.

Have fun, man. I'm going to miss out on our Thanksgiving dune trip this year... We usually go to Gordon's. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime. Here's my setup...
