trans problem

burned up my trans, looking for a new one, found one on ebay out of a 06 gas truck for $750 only 30k on it, are they the same or are the diesel trans different? and will an 06 trans fit in a 03?

They use less clutches in the gasser versions of the TorqShift, so you'll want to get one out of a diesel. Check your local salvage yards.

well man unless the ford dealer hooks me up and fixes mine i am going to be in the same situation. they said mine broke a sprocket in half.

everyone told me my trans would hold no problem. i guess we are a few of the unlucky ones. i haven't had my truck in almost 2 months i miss it so much my accent just isn't the same. i lost to pos firebird the other day. i am sick of saying "if i had my truck i would have had him"

i just bought my truck like 3 weeks ago and it did this it makes me sick. its only been broke 4 days and i miss it. are you going to put the tune back on when you get it back. im a little hesitant.

mines been down for 2 months... but the trans is being built now and i will never have to worry about it agian... it sucks with it being down. im hauling everything around with my 2000 and i forgot how gutless it really is...

O he11 ya I'm putting the tune back in it, not the race tune but the street tune for sure. you know what they say, once you go black (smoke) u can't go back.
