Exclamation change solenoids 5r110

has anyone changed their solenoids in the tranny? does the solenoid body have to be removed from the tranny, or can the solenoids be swapped out by just removing the c-clip on each solenoid. i was reading a book that says "all can be removed except for one of them" .this would be the line pressure solenoid. i don't know if this info is reliable.

I think Doug at Direct Injection Performance has some type of solenoid replacement. He's the only person I've heard of....

I just did mine, the epc or line pressure control solenoid is the only one that requires solenoid body to be removed, because the large connector is in the way and it needs to slide thru the body so you have enough room to slide that in and out, all others can be serviced without removing valve body, if you have to do the epc one, you have to order the valve body gasket and o-ring for the connector, and only remove the 8mm bolts not the 10mm ones. Make sure you torque valve body in sequence and to correct spec, I think it was 89 in lbs.I definitely recommend changing the inline filter also.
