6-speed not shifting right

i have a six speed ans it keep's popping out of 4th and now it just locked up.....just got it back from the dealership 1/2 hour ago,it was whinning right when i got it back and stopped within 27.0 k's (canada) of getting it back........any ideas?

just had the motor replaced that's why i just got it back

I'd take that monster back to the dealer and start gripeing!!! Sounds like they drained the tranny fluid and didn't refill it. Take an audio recorder or video camera in w/ you and record it. If they give you any static, call a laywer! Tell them to fix it today, or give you a new tranny and clutch for your trouble!!!

Possibly. The tranny is lighter without the fluid in it.

wel the dealer say's it's my problem.........they didn't do any thin to the tranny cause they put a motor in it and that since it was not running when how do they know if the trans was any good

They might have installed the clutch/flywheel assembly wrong and/or not put in a new throwout bearing. It really sound like THEY screwed up. Go in, insist that it was shifting perfectly fine before taking it in for the new motor, and now, it works like poo. If they refuse you again, call a lawyer.

more to the problem the dealer doe's not even have a diesel tech on staff WTF are they doing work on it for........ i can see an oil change but not for the work they just did

Call a lawyer! If they replaced your motor and didn't have a certified diesel mechanic do the work, they are liable. I'd sure the poo out of 'em!
