the good the bad and the ugly....

Hey there fellas,

I got a buddy lookin at a 2003 CCSB FX4 6.0L..
and we were wondering what were the main problems that you 6.0'ers are seeing. now i've heard of the head studs and stuff, but what else is there that we should be worried about... the truck has 115K on it, with exhaust ( dont know what kind but the whistle is def. louder than stock), intake is stock with K&N, and an SCT Tuner on a daily driver tune at the moment.. oh and boost and pyro guages.. also, how would he get all the emission stuff off, EGR delete right?? I'm a 7.3L guy so i'm not used to all this emission stuff...

thanx

Check out this months Diesel Power magazine. They had a great year by year write up of all the problems associated with the 6.0!

That article is a joke. All it says is the same crap that is all over every forum.

Get rid of that K&N first thing. Like right now! Studs and an EGR delete and your 6.0 will be golden.

Thats basically what the article said minus the air filter which I agree with! I didn't think it was a joke. Think of all the people that are not on these forums but will see that mag and grab it just because it says 6.0 on it which they might have!
