'05 6.0 engine oil leaks

walked out this morning and discovered an oil puddle under my truck. Since it is still under warranty I took it to Ford and they advised me that this is a common problem and they are going to have to pull the motor to make the repairs and it normally takes about a week. Anyone else having similar problems?

that is probably so, the bed plate is the lower half of your engine block unique to the 6.0 liter engine ,the engine does have to come out, if done right it should take care of your problem

Same thing happened to me. I had the dealer fix it. they had it for 9 days, and it still leaks. Ridiculous.

Got the news today, the bedplate is seeping, not bad though. I am going to let it go, the dealer said it would not get worse. I can live with that and not take chances on a total teardown and resulting issues. So far no drips!

Well just keep an eye on your oil level. Mine is at the dealer now so I will keep you guys posted on how it turns out. The service writer called me today and told me it would take a few days longer because the truck ahead of mine had to have the engine replaced because they couldn't fix the leak.

Drove it to work today and no drip yet. Best ever! Hope that the "seepage" is just that. I do not want the engine torn down at 15 K! Here's hoping for the best!
