Engine work
I noted in a previous post that I have engine problems. The dealer needs to pull the cab off to work on the engine. As I researched this method. It seems to be common practice. I would much rather do the work myself. My question is my truck is a 450 with a 5000lb crane ran by a PTO. Is there way I can run the engine with a shop/test harness to operate the crane to lift off the cab. It may sound dumb, but its just a thought.

I don't know if you can, but it sounds like it could be a Kodak moment.

If you are still under warranty, why worry about if you can pull the cab yourself. Btw you will need to give a lot more info than "I have a engine problem" I.E codes if any, year, model, mods etc. etc. This forum is very help full when give ALL of the info. Not trying to be smart *ss, that's just the way it is. Good luck.
