Engine Shaking Uncontrollably

I've looked through the forum and I haven't found a definitive answer to the problem that I'm having. I have an 03 F350 6.0 and:

When the truck is cool (even though its 45 at night here) its a pain in the *** to start in the morning. When I start it up, the WHOLE cab shakes and when I look in the engine bay, the engine is rattling around, almost as if its not getting enough fuel or air. 1 of the 2? Both? Has anyone had issues with this? I hope that there isn't something wrong with the Head? After it warms up its fine, its just on the start where its really really rough.

Sometimes it will die shortly after start. One time it died 3 times. Then I decided that keeping the RPM's around 700-1000 after it starts up it seems to be better, but then it rattles even more.

I don't know what to do here and if I'm doing anything wrong?

Please help if you can!

When was the last time you changed the oil and fuel filter? I know that when I do that my truck settles down a lot in the mornings. I just replaced the fuel filter but the oil is still due.

I was trying to be optomistic but I was thinking that too. Just didn't want to be rough on the guy. I'd try the cheaper options first and they are needed anyways and if it continues get the buzz test.

This is a simple fix...my truck did it too a few years back. Take it to the dealership and tell them you need the "Cold Start" re-flash. They will reflash your PCM and FICM and it will be fine. Worked great on mine...apparently its a common problem. Hope this solves your problem!

First of all, thanks a lot for all the answers and input. I'm taking it to the dealer on Tuesday to see whats up and for them to hook it up to diagnostics to see if any injectors are misfiring. Thankfully, I picked up another 7 injectors with 30k on them for $200! Hopefully f250ghost is right about the issue, if not, then I guess I have to go down the list. Hopefully the dealer will have more input. I wish I had more time under the truck to figure out how everything works. I will keep you guys posted and again, thanks for all the advice
