I am very scared!!
Ok so I just got on this forum today for the first time and I hate to say this but the only reason I even started looking at a powerstroke forum to join is simply because I am worried. I just bought an 04 f250 harley davidson edition 6.0 diesel And it seems to have problems. I blow white smoke only in the morning for about 30 seconds. This morning I got an injector #7 code for like 2 mins. then went away. It always pulls an egr code so yesterday i pulled the egr wich by the way is a pain and cleaned it. Didnt help actually got worse. So I unplugged the egr all together. Is that bad? I have no CES light but it still worries me. I have to deliver a boat tomorrow. ( I own Lavro Drift Boats) not very profitable in a market like this But anyways im driving to oregon from seattle with a light load should I be worried? I had no idea about the 6.0 being such a POS before I got it. I got the truck for 22,900 with 50k on it. Is this thing worth keeping. It has a minor amount of coolant around the cap of the res. tank. Thanks for any help what so ever.

Is the white smoke only on the first start up or all through out the day? Also, does the truck miss or shutter when you are at a cruising speed? And welcome to the Org. Hang around and you will me some nice people and learn a lot about your truck

it does shutter at cruising speeds once in a while. like if I am going at at like 65mph in cruise control up a gradual hill it will shutter. And it only has white smoke in the morning for about 2 mins and it acts like it wont go until the smoke clears up.

If you had a blown head gasket, the truck would be overheating... |
