Still Puking from a hard night out

'04 6.0, puking white smoke, pulled EGR valve, cleaned and replaced, still puking, now truck won't turn over, white pasty residue on bottom of oil filler cap. Oil cooler gone bad? cracked head? have a new EGR cooler to put in but am hesitant now. Any help is much appreciated.

It kinda seems like you blew a head gasket or EGR cooler and have it hydrolocked.

thanks, thats kinda what I was thinkin' i guess I'll go ahead and replace the EGR cooler and see what happens, fingers crossed that its not heads or head gasket, although gasket would be a cheaper fix!

The gaskets are cheap yes but the labor is a killer....unless you can do it yourself.

yeah i did a gasket and some injectors on the FIRST engine that was in this truck (yes this is #2 at 140,000), I've got a pretty good farm shop, hoping the egr cooler isn't too much of a bear, i'll let you know how it goes, starting now...
