lost hope
I have had an on going problem my 2005 f350 has to crank a long time before it fires any where from 8 to 25 seconds when it does start it runs great doesn't even cough on start up i have went thru the glow plugs stc fitting on hpop i was curious if i apply air thru the icp hole if that would narrow it down i don't have scan tool to command the ipr closed

Try this. Turn the key to on and listen for the lift pump to go. If you don't hear it, replace it. If you do, cycle the key a few times before starting it to build up fuel pressure in the fuel bowl. Then try to start it. That could narrow it down to a fuel problem. Have you changed both fuel filters? Does it smoke a lot when it first fires? Does it smell like raw fuel at any time? I am thinking you may have a pin hole leak in a fuel line somewhere that is letting air creep into the system. It may not be a noticable leak, but after sitting for a while, it may get air into the system. Does it start right away if you shut the truck off and then restsrt it?

fuel pressure is fine it acts like hpop system problem or ficm but it thows no codes unless the batterys run down that you get the garbage codes its been an ongoing problem and fuel filters havn't changed it in the past and i change them evey other oil change
