Replacing head gaskets???

Can anybody tell me how I can tell whether I have 20mm or 18 mm dowel pins in my heads before ripping it apart? I want to order gasket and studs, but would like to have them here when I rip it apart.

Ford might be able to tell you from the VIN#.

I work at the dealer and am getting headgaskets and they have to tear down first and then order the kit...
