I have a weird noise in my 06 6.0 it sounds like the way my intake usualy sounds when you are cranking on it a little but it is about ten times louder now and will not make over 15 pounds of boost also at one certin rpm there is a really high pitch wistle sound and it is not the regular turbo sound i have changed the one intercooler boot on the turbo could my turbo be cracked because also when you rev it up hard under the hood there is a little bit of black smoke coming from around the back of the turbo any help would be great!!!!

you have a exhaust leak at the y-pipe behind the turbo, and possibly and egr valve going bad, the reason i think it could be egr also is a exhaust will drop power but usually not drastic

i am thinking about getting the full egr delete kit form first coast diesel performance the one with in entire intake will this take care of the leak at the y pipe and the rest of the prolbems

nope the Y-Pipe is a seperate piece that is connected to the exhaust manifolds and goes to the turbo.
unless that kit comes with a Y-Pipe

is the y pipe a pain to get off and can it just be welded?

it is a pain in the azz to do and cant be welded where they crack , need to replace it if it the drivers side , if its the passengers side then a solid pipe can be made , the drivers side does need the flex piping

when i get the egr kit what pipe does that come with drive or pass and also is the dealer the best place to get the new pipe i need?
