EGR Cooler bypass - coolant hose?
Hey, im doing an egr cooler delete, ive removed the egr cooler, welded the exhaust, welded exhaust inlet on the bottom side of the intake manfiold. Now im just wondering if i can block of both coolant passages or do i have to make a line to connect the two? Does coolant have to flow? Im sure there are other passages through the engine that the coolant flows through to cool the engine.
Just checking though. |

You absolutely need to make the connection between where it went in and where in went. The inlet for the EGR cooler comes from the oil cooler. If you block that off, It will stop coolant flow in the oil cooler. That would NOT be a good thing. lol Good luck and keep us posted.
