Ford Recall VS. Warranty???
Driving a 2005 F-450 Superduty, that is throwing ICP sensor codes, and FICM issues. Both parts were recalled in 2005 by ford, local dealerships will not repair due to the truck being out of warranty? what the crap is that???? if they broke under warranty, the warranty would cover it, why the recall???? more importantly, am i being jerked around by this dealership, or is this common practice?, "sorry we can't replace the defective parts in your motor, they just HAPPENED to outlive the warranty."Make: FORD Model: F-450 SUPERDUTY Model Year: 2005 Manufacturer: FORD MOTOR COMPANY Mfr's Report Date: JUN 07, 2005 NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 05V270000 NHTSA Action Number: EA05003 Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING Potential Number of Units Affected: 180104 Summary: CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND VANS EQUIPPED WITH 6.0L DIESEL ENGINES MAY EXPERIENCE STALLING WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING AND MAY OR MAY NOT RESTART. icp sensor was only covered on certain model years , and the ficm wasnt recalled , just a wrap on the ficm wiring harness , not the ficm itself
