'05 no power

We have an '05 that has about 45000 miles on it. It runs and starts fine and as long as you don't get over about 60 it is fine which is ok because it is a ranch truck and rarely leaves the ranch. But when you try to get it up to speed after about 60 it falls on its face and has no power. Could this be injectors? It doesn't smoke and starts right off and is completely stock, any ideas?

well we changed them a couple months ago, but we do fill out of ranch diesel tanks, green diesel, probably wouldnt hurt to change them again, this happened pretty much all of a sudden too. I see you are from Albuquerque, the ranch is actually in the Gila south of Magdalena not too far from you.

I know about where you're at. I've taken many a motorcycle ride through that part of the state - from Albuquerque down to 60 and then west to Quemado (?) then north to just outside of Grants and back to Albuquerque again.

Is it throwing codes?

I had an FICM go bad in my truck and it would stumble at highway speeds until it down shifted and the RPM's went up.
replaced the FICM and she runs great now

I Think so....

by the way a fuel injection control module (ficm) is about 850.00 and from the year and mileage you have it should be under warranty still..
if you pm me your vin I can let you know if your still covered...
I work at a dealer.
