6.0 turbo problems

Hi, I'm a newbie to this site and I'm still learning to navigate the forums. I bought my first Powerstroke in 2003. Since that time I have learned about the problems with this engine. I like my truck and I don't want to get rid of it, but I need some help with turbo problems. This month the dealer installed the 4th turbo under warranty. For the last 3 Januarys I have had it in the dealer to replace the turbo. I understand the problems with the variable vanes, my question is this. Does someone make a turbo that does not have the problems of the factory stock turbo? I have 17 more months on my warranty and I'm retired and live on a pension. I can't afford to replace the turbo once each year. I know ATS has a great looking turbo, but at $4,000 it's out of my budget. The dealer is replacing the turbo each time with a rebuilt turbo, same spec as original turbo. Should they be replacing turbo with some kind of improved turbo? Or maybe they are not legally allowed to do so? Thanks anyone who can advise me. Marc Covington
