Ok so here is whats going on.Just got my X3 in and went straight to EXTREAM
all i got to say is greatest thing i have done in a longtime to my trucks.But here is where it gets bad I go for a good long drive about 70 miles over 8% grades and have no problems just cant keep my boot out of it .Then i get to where im going and hock up a 24 FOOT trailer 8000 pound max give or take a few pound.Then head back home and its towing like no other passing people even off the line from a light . then it all gose wrong i just finished pulling an 8%grade with no sings of a problem had to use the brakes going up hill so i would not run people overMAX TEMPS EGT 900 AFTER TURBO WATER HALF WAY BOOST 35 PSI at full trotle passing 15 seconds max So then the fan comes on 3/4s way up the hill then gose off then comes on slow speed and i look at the temp guage and its bouncing at half way then it stops and the fan gose off like nothing happend.So i get home about 15 miles more and the trailer is got coolent all over the hitch so i look under the hood and the only place its coming out off was the rad cap so i took the cap off and i lost about 2 liters not even of coolant.But not one time did i losse power oor anything no smoke no nothing so now did i blow a headgasket or is the rad cap crap HELP and sorry for the long story but i know info is a good help

How full was your degas bottle? The min line is full on those. Any white smoke out of the exhaust or anything?

all i have to say is what the heck were you thinking,of course something bad was gonna happen,you should not tow anything heavy on extreme tune or even an economy tune,thats why they have tow tunes,its almost like it was somebody elses truck and you were tring to blow the motor.dude you should read up on things before you act like you know what your doing,that is the most ridiculous story i think i have ever heard,now when you have motor problems let me guess you will blame it on being a ford,wow all i have to say is dumb dumb dumb.

well imsokin when i bought the tuner they said your good to tow 9000 pounds with extrem so i tryed it. and as for it beening a ford i dont matter to me ford or not i would have done it and im sure im not the only one to do it

I wounl't tow in that tune ever, I just got mine studded and the egr de3lete and I still wouldn't tow a load with that kind a tune in it. You can try a new cap and that may help some on the coolant, even with mine studded put 10,000pounds on it and I still loose a very minute amount of coolant.
