6.0 EGR Cooler, Oil Cooler and Head Gasket

Will someone please give me some thoughts on what to do. I took my truck to the dealer and they called me back saying that my oil cooler and egr cooler were bad and i might possibly have a blown head gasket. The thing that bothers me the most is the truck has 101,400 miles and the warranty covers these parts up to 100,000 miles. Ford will not do anything for me. Does anybody have any suggestions besides me just shelling out the $3,800 its going to cost to fix this?

yeah tell them if you dont fix they can have and tell them to pay for it no seriously i would maybe call ford and see if they can do anything just talk nice to them and see what they can do because its not your fault it messed up. another idea is to search the internet for legit warrenty's my buddy got for for $450 a year for his truck which has 150,000 miles on it and they will continue coverage on it till 250,000 miles and it covers everything that you are explaining the only thing it doesnt cover is injectors but i havent found one yet that does good luck bud

that typical for ford i would try another dealer next and explain to them that you talked to ford and if you remember who you talked to tell them that he said that ford would pay for it just to fix it

More than likely you're not going to get it warrantied. Ford is within their rights to deny any coverage. It is out of warranty. My advise would be to take it to a reputable shop, not a dealer and have the work done. Replace the oil cooler, DELETE the EGR cooler, install new head gaskets and ARP studs if necessary. I see Adam (ABrannan19) is in this thread. If I were you I'd PM him and discuss your options. He is part owner of First Coast Diesel Performance and this kind of thing is their specialty. They are located in Jacksonville IIRC.
