Help, need advice

Well truck went into the shop. #2 & #8 cylinders full of fuel. Truck hydrolocked and they removed the glow plugs and relieved the pressure and went to crank it over. KNocking noise. Shop says it could be a bent rod or the fact that there is no oil lineing the cylinder because of the fuel. They say it could be that the ecm or something comamded the inj to stay open or a stuck inj. But why would both #2 and #8 be full of fuel. They are going to do a compression check to see what if any damage is done internally. Please I need advice, what could cause it, whats the likely hood of a bent rod, whats the likley hood of just a dry cylinder making the knocking, will an inj make a knocking noise..............please
