icp repair ??

I'm going to have my icp sensor and pigtail changed out tomorrow I'm one of the lucky ones mine is buried under the turbo so I'm going to have the dealer do it.my question,is there any diagnostics that need to be performed before or after the install to reprogram the truck,or to make it run better i just don't want to pay more than what i need.i have had the truck scanned already and it threw the p-2285 code with cel light on so that much i know already.

Just did my ICP a couple of months ago - exact same situation P2285 and surging/stumbling - I didn't even try to reach it myself. After you reset the computer the P1000 code will remain for quite a while but this doesn't mean anything's wrong, it just means that the OBD drive cycle hasn't been completed in its entirety. It will go away after some varied driving including freeway.
