Under the EGR?

I have just pulled the EGR and in the process of cleaning it. I went out to look around and under where the EGR sits it looks like it is completely shut off from gunk. How do I clean that out or any other suggestions? Appreciate all the help.

Rig up something on a shop vac to clean it out?

the egr valve? take the 2 bolts off and pry up. the egr cooler is connected from underneath, you will see carbon all over valve if it doesnt have a block off or delete.

You can clean the valve with carb cleaner or brake cleaner. Keep it upright (electrical up)
and dont spray into the electrical. You will be ok!!
Hope it isn't saturated with coolant
