Major Problems

2004 F250 6.0 King Ranch

For several months the "water in fuel" light comes on regularly. Changed fuel filters twice in that time - not dirty and fuel looked good. Bad thing is I have to use starter fluid to start it from time to time - that has gotten worse to the point I have to do it about once a day - usally but not always it's the first cranking of the day

One time it stalled completely while I was driving it and wouldn't start at all - with someone giving quick bursts of starter fluid it stayed running and finally hit good and stayed running. Been doing good since other than sometimes still have to start with small shot of starter fluid which I know is an indicator of some underlying problem

Today it was making strange sounds on the way home. Then lost power. I was going about 55 but I could put the pedal to the floor and no more power available. Pulled over after 10-15 miles of problems. Theres a drip coming from under the casing where the small fuel filter is housed under the hood. Truck was smoking when we stopped but that was not visible until we stopped. All gauges were fine - temp was fine, tranny temp fine, oil pressure fine. Had to leave it b/c I was worried it was gonna cause more problems if I kept trying to run it.

Any suggestions would be VERY much appreciated!! You guys have helped me through some stuff before so hopefully somebody knows what my issue may be. I didn't check it in detail b/c there was another ride I had at the time but couldn't wait and engine was too warm to mess around with too much at the time. Thanks
