Bad degas bottle cap?

Mine holds no pressure. I can stop, raise the hood and see it releasing pressure fast. I can almost immediatly take the cap off with no issue. I mean no pressure. Am I thinking right? Shouldnt the cap hold full pressure longer than 1-2 minutes?

I have stayed with the ford OE cap. Haven't had any problems. And yes, it is the updated cap.
