Need some advice

Ok guys here it is, I replaced my oil cooler and had an EGR delete kit put in my truck about 3 years ago. Well here it is 50,000 miles later and the oil cooler is shot again. Myself and a good friend of mine who is a diesel mechanic for the local Ford shop replaced my oil cooler this weekend and all seemed well. I hooked onto my camper yesterday and within 5 minutes my oil temps had shot up to 250 while my engine temp remained at 198. I don't have any idea where to go from here, could the new oil cooler be shot from the very beginning? Any advice on other things to look at or try?

I'm not hard on this truck, it's had a pretty easy life pulling trailers for me but nothing excessive. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

There are a few threads on this already; however I can't find them at the moment. SOME of the new OEM "updated" oil coolers have had this issue.

Have you considered a remote oil cooler replacement? Wish I could find those threads, but a quick search should turn them up for you! Sorry about your bad luck, wish I could offer more help!
