First to save on diagnostic time read for codes and then look at live data for the glow plugs check for voltage and amperage.
You can then take a clamp on ampmeter and check each harness and then each glow plug if needed. I don't remember the values off hand but the tech folder has them or they can be looked up in the coffee table book.
All should be within a few amps of each other.
