6.0 starts but cranks long runs like crap!

Ever since the temp outside started to rise my trucks been cranking longer than normal before starting. Once it starts it runs like crap until it's up to operating temp, seems like it don't wanna shift/ no power just don't run good at all. I'm at a lose of what could be causing this.

You're best off starting with a monitor like a Scan Gauge II so you can check ICP sensor pressure and IPR valve activity.

This way you can help troubleshoot the issue as a HPO system oil leak or if the long cranks and no power have something to do with injectors/FICM.

Okay blown f150 I will get my brother in laws scann gauge tomorrow what should I be looking for number wise on those? And should I do that running stock like bluedemon6.0 said?

Running like crap cold is either injector stiction or weak ficm usually.

Tunes have caused odd issues for many, you are best off putting it back to stock to troubleshoot.

Lots of good info in the sticky to troubleshoot with, but monitor your FICM voltage, ICP pressure and IPR percent.

This will be a good starting point in figuring out what is going on. It is possible it could be more than one thing like a weak FICM and HPO leak.

Do you know if the scan gauge 2 has the icp and ipr as an option? I used it once before I got my livewire to monitor my water temp but that's it.

Try this link it has every different type of monitor and the pids for the scan gauge. Or you can visit the scan gauge website and look up xgauge there is a list of pids there as well.

To answer your question yes a scan gauge 2 will monitor all your vitals minus fuel pressure and egts.

Getting the gauge tomorrow took longer than I thought. So will post tomorrow night with my results. Thanks for the help!

Yes it does. I monitor fmp boost ipr and icp on mine. I know my icp is low so im trying to figure out why.
