03 6.0 stand pipe/ dummy plug

about to do some motor work and was wondering if the stand pipes and dummy plugs are a common failing point on the 03 6L motors. any input is welcome.

thank you now i dont have to explain more parts costs to the wife. she already thinks that thing is a bottomless pit of money and time
