torque app question

just out of curiosity i have a edge platinum programmer that runs on the stock setting and i only use it as a monitor, my question is will i damage my truck if i buy an adapter and run the torque app as well since i can only monitor 4 things at a time with my edge?

It's a hit or miss with the OBDII splitters. The CAN protocol in the PCM usually can only talk to one device at a time, by splitting the signal, it can confuse the PCM and send false readings to the monitor.

IMO, remove the Edge evo, and just use the Torque App. Your Edge Evo don't have to go to waste, you can contact PHP and convert it to a Gryphon Programmer for tuning the FICM or running PCM custom tunes by PHP.

I don't run Torque app (I use DashBoss for iOS), but haven't heard any bad reports of inaccurate reports.

Normal PIDs to check is EOT,ECT,FICMv every now and then, the other PID's are mostly used for troubleshooting issues when the truck starts to run different. Fuel PSI should also be checked every now and then.

Here is a good read to help you out.
