hey guys this is my first post so I'm sorry if I messed it up but this isn't my first time to the site you guys have helped me get through a lot with my truck.I have a 2003 f250 6.0 Super Duty lariat early bird. I was having crank no start when hot issues I took it to Ford they said it was this and that I took it to a diesel mechanic and he said it was a whole nother list of this and that so I gotta scan gauge and started doing the work myself. So far I have done a sinister EGR delete kit sinister kulit filtration kit fuel pressure regulator update Blue Springs intake manifold gasket valve cover gasket glow plug module ICP sensor IPR valve FICM update remanufactured turbohigh pressure oil pump cover update oil drain back tube update new oil coolerand all the gaskets and seals it go with thatskin gauge reads with key on engine off IPR 14.8 ICP 45 FMP 48.5.... While cranking IPR jumps to 85% ICP never builds past 300 FMP stays close and SYC 1. I oil in the filter housing when cranking and fuel building up in secondary housing. New started and fresh batteries still crank no start after work was done blead and blead the system. Don't know what else to do and I need my truck running im out of time any help or advice is greatly appreciated please.
I had a hard start/no start issue and it turned out my cam/crank sensors were way out of sync. Wires had rubbed on cam sensor and needed to be replaced, and crank sensor was bad as well.
I tried everything before this, thought it was a fuel issue.
Do you have any modifications to the truck other than the ones you said you have done?
10 4 man I don't want to put anymore parts on I have been takin to the cleansers twice around here by these small town dealerships that don't know anything about the 6.0 and charge 1000 for 1 injector repair and leaving bolts out and snapped off bolts and not say anything about it or I would just give up and take it in
You can pick up a air compressor at harbor freight for $100. That's cheaper than a tow and shop time. And cheaper than throwing parts at it. Craig's list also has cheap air compressors. Anything is better than going in blind and hoping to find it and replacing good parts.
Hey bud, seems like were having the same issue here. I rebuilt almost everything on the top end of the motor and now I have a hot no start. It will most likely be a HPO issue, which people have mentioned already. I just ordered a air pressure fitting that goes into the IPR instead of the ICP. When it gets here in a few days I will let you know how it works and if I found the problem. Maybe our tribulations are the same.
Where are you located? I wouldl let you use my compressor and tool when it got here. I know how frustrating this is, so I'm glad to help if I can.
Thanks fellas just found a compressor on Craigslist so I will be able to do what I should have done in the first place any chance I can find the adapter or make something work from tractor supply or a ace hardware also when cranking it takes a few for low pressure to build on the gauge then sometimes drops out while still cranking
Stock cap truck ran fine for 2 years then 2 months ago started the no start wgen hot and popping or backfiring when I would let off the throttle oil temp started running warmer and coolant temp also will back fire or pop when just coasting and the rpms are winding down
