The service Rep at my dealership told me that the new diesel fuel has caused a lot of problems with O-rings in the 7.3 engines and that so far no problems have been with the 6.0 motors. Anyone have any information on the new fuel and the 6.0 engine ??
Thanks. |

I've heard rumors but no specifics. I know my injectors are a lot more noisy with out a double dose of Diesel Kleen. I know the DMaxes are having similar problems.

The new kerosene color diesel we get here in Oz right now, lacks the same level of lubrication.... The 6.0 is designed for it, but the older engines can use a little added top end lubrication in my opinion.... The major problem here for Diesel Injection shops that rebuild Injection Pumps for older diesels, is the same issue, tight tolerances and lack of lubrication in the new diesel...
We have been battling it for years...! Ranger in Australia |
