One of our ambulances has the wrench light onbabsblight on and the engine light comes on periodically. It over heats when run hard but can idle for hours without a problem. The engine also "shutters" at 2500rpm of you can help it would be much appreciated.
Sounds like more than one issue.
Can you get Engine Oil Temp and Engine Coolant Temp readings using an electronic gauge set plugged into the OBD port?
Have the ability to test the cooling system for excessive pressure?
Well, if you have 6.0's under the hood, you should have at least one electronic gauge set that you could use when you have a problem. Even the best mechanic will need to know the vitals.
